Reaction to "Critical Thinking: The Soul of Communication"

After reading the article on Critical Thinking: The Soul of Communication, I am convinced that communication is key. It is one of the most important life skills especially in social context. Humans are social animals, hence communication is important for survival, easily one of the first few skills we pick up as a newborn.

As we grow older, we cultivate skills and become better with communication. Having great content makes us communicate well. Critical thinking is the power house for meaningful conversations. The analysis of details of a critically thinking mind generates information for a broader prospective to issues. This in turn prompts relevant content to communicate. The better someone is at thinking critically, the greater he/she is at communicating. Thinking critically enables us to speak confidently too.

Communication becomes increasingly common as we meet more people especially at workplaces. Communication between employees allows goals and standards to be established, and eventually accomplished. It not only boosts productivity, but also strengthen relationships, leading to happier and better performing workers. I can see why it is such a desirable skill.
